I am a 60s something woman living alone and tending to a herd of 40 meat goats without help.
I truly believe I could not do this without the help of my Anatolian Nicki. She is always on the job guarding the goats from predators and I feel so much safer on my isolated farm knowing she will bark to warn of approaching strangers.
She is more than a dog. She is a working partner in this small farming enterprise.
